TRADUZIONE:COMPETITION RULES
To join the race registration is required.
The contact person for entries is: MILLA.
When you subscribe to race, you automatically agree to the following policies in all its points.
In addition to those rules, the necessary changes will be explicated, to all pilots, in general pre-race briefing.
The races will be held as follows:
• Saturday: Qualifications
• Sunday: Twins
PRE RACE: Briefing with directions by the courts (about any critical points of the track, and valuation methods), pilots can also obtain a clarification if something is not understood.
During the briefing Will be notified the Qualification grid: in case of changes, problems related to the rc must be notified in time to the courts, otherwise, there will be 5 minutes of technical time for repairs, after which the pilot may request to compete with another car or you declare forfeit.
NOTE: The technical time of 5 min for repairs is admitted at all stages of the race.
QUALIFICATIONS (A SINGLE UNIT):
Regarding to the timetable made by the organizations and the number of members at the race, will be made 2 qualification sessions.
Each session consist of 3 laps in total:
• 1 warm-up lap (stop and go)
• 2 judged laps (continued)
The final score, of each pilot, will be the average rate of the 2 qualification sessions.
In the case of drivers with same score, will be made another session only for them, in the same way of qualification.
Qualify to stage twin (1 vs 1) the first 16 drivers (for the twins formula, the drivers must be 8 or multiples of
The combinations of the twin are:
1 8
9 16
3 6
11 14
12 13
4 5
10 15
2 7
OR :
1 9
3 11
5 13
7 15
8 16
TWIN (2 cars):
Both cars start with the order equal to the qualification: in the first laps the car with the best qualification score among the 2, will be placed in front .
The pairs will perform 2 sets of 3 rounds:
1 warm up lap (stop)
2 judged laps (continued)
Change the starting position
1 warm up lap (stop)
2 judged laps (continued)
ONE MORE TIME
It 'a characteristic only of stage twins: If there is equality between the two drivers, the courts can call a one more time, until they can be declare the winner.
The O.M.T will be held as follow:
NO WARM UP
1 lap
Change position

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
INTRODUCTION
Compared to other motorsport disciplines and modeling, the drift is essentially based on aesthetics and clean driving techniques.
In real drifting exist, however, "measurable" parameters like the input speed cornering (for example).
The Rules of the race used by us, are based on D1 JP (but it is a simplified version) for reasons mainly "practical" because if we would be more precise, we need the presence of several courts.
In the past, many attempts have been made for drift rules for the R.C. drift that will be like to the real 1:1 rules, but up to date, for that reasons, each group has a custom rule adapted to their characteristics and their staff.
Apply the following principles:
at every lap (TOTAL and not turn to turn) is assigned a score from 1 to 10 in according to the following parameters:
• angle of sideslip, a greater angle increases the lap score;
• smooth handling;
• proximity to the curb/wall: the score increases when the front of the car is near to the curb (clipping point), and when the tail is near to the outside track delimitation;
• perfect passage in the critical zone of the track, explained by the court during the briefing (eg critical curves, underpasses, bridges, etc.)
Particularly in the Twins, raises the score:
• overtaking only in drift and without causing damage to the pilot before (otherwise it becomes a penalty);
• tracking very closely, keeping in driving accuracy, fluency and distance in drift curves.
NOTE: overtaking is not the only parameter that judges evaluate, so, if you overtake you could not pass.
Regarding the penalty which contribute to decrease the score:
• spin: 0 lap points and will be take a part of the media with the other judged laps;
• Cutting path: serious error, this gives 0 lap points (like the spin);
• no drifted curves;
• realignment of the car when cornering
Particularly in the Twins are penalties:
• overtaking with STRAIGHT MACHINE;
• overtaking at the DEPARTURE: no points to the pilots who follow;
• "stunt" drive, with collisions and / or improper conduct: if the pilot who follows induce another to commit a mistake, the judges will decide the numerical value of the penalty (and the most serious cases of disqualification) according to seriousness of the misconduct.
NOTE: The misconduct is also included to induce the opponent to overtake at the departure playing with the speed difference.
IMPORTANT!
1. RATING AND RANKING OF QUALIFICATIONS.
Will be announced at the end of the session all average vote of drivers standings with 16 and classified the twin. It’s FORBIDDEN TO BE IN THE JUDGES AREA DURING THE CONDUCT OF RACE.
2. DISPUTE INTO A TWIN:
As in many other sports (eg tennis or volleyball), we believe that it may be useful to include in regulation practice.
If the pilot is contrary to the verdict by the judges, he can ask the "disputed view" where he can explain his trouble, the judge may confirm or reverse the verdict or repeat the performance:
From the beginning, or declaring the O.M.T. (you choose)
3. TECNICAL SUSPENSION FOR 5 MINUTES.
In case of technical problems the pilot may call the technical time, when time end, if the problem is not solved he can declare forfeit or he can run with another RC.
The suspension "freeze" the race to the point where it left off, then, after 5 min (or less) everything restart from the “freeze point”, both in qualifying and in twins.
During the twins phase, each pilot can use maximum 2 times in total this technical suspension.
TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
No restrictions provided for the chassis and engine.
However it is considered appropriate given the limitations on the type of tires used in the race to ensure that there are major differences among various tire grip.
NOTE: For the Qualifying phase you can try more types of tires, but in the race is allowed to use a single type.
The tires allowed are:
• Tamiya DrifTech
• HPI T-Drift
Modify or treatment with additives to the race tires are FORBIDDEN.
AT THE END OF EACH PHASE OF RACE, the judges check the type of the tyre.
